About Us

To empower individuals to learn, love, and live Islam

Shaykh with Quran

Who we are

Utrujj, founded by Shaykh Haytham Tamim, is an Islamic educational institute that has been serving the UK Muslim community since 2001. Our work is founded on authentic scholarship, showing how traditional Islamic wisdom can help us deal with the realities of modern life.

What we do

We change lives by teaching Islam through online classes, courses and retreats, equipping individuals with authentic Islamic knowledge and spiritual tools to deepen their faith, refine their character, and ‘live Islam’ with confidence.

Our mission

We believe that learning Islam is more than gaining knowledge — it is about becoming the best version of ourselves. Our mission is to inspire goodness, foster tolerance, and promote harmony within individuals, families, and communities. Through the Quran and sunnah, we empower individuals to become catalysts for goodness, spreading kindness, integrity, and positive change in their communities.
